Moving your HomeZada inventory takes about ten minutes
- Export from HomeZada. In HomeZada, open Home Inventory → Quick Actions → “Spreadsheet Import & Export” and download your inventory spreadsheet. Grab the .zip of your photos and documents too — it's your data.
- Import into HavenBinder. In HavenBinder, open Inventory → Import and upload that file. We match the columns automatically — names, rooms, categories, values, purchase dates, serial numbers — and show you a preview before anything is saved.
- Everything gets filed. Items land in your inventory sorted into categories and rooms, and anything with a brand and model number is automatically checked against the CPSC safety-recall database.
Common questions
Can I import my HomeZada data into HavenBinder?
Yes — your home inventory. Export the spreadsheet from HomeZada (Home Inventory → Quick Actions → Spreadsheet Import & Export), then upload it in HavenBinder under Inventory → Import. Columns are matched automatically and you review everything before it's saved. Note that HomeZada's spreadsheet export requires their paid plan.
Will my photos and documents transfer?
Not automatically yet. HomeZada lets you download a .zip of your photos and documents — do that before you cancel anything, so you always have your files. You can attach them to items in HavenBinder as you go, and a direct photo import is on our roadmap.
What doesn't transfer from HomeZada?
Maintenance history, project budgets, and financial records don't travel in HomeZada's inventory export, so those need to be re-entered. Most switchers find HavenBinder's maintenance guide rebuilds their schedule in a few minutes.
